Tote This

take me around with you

I thought I’d kick off this blog with some show and tell of what I’ve been making since moving back to the Sweltering Heartland.

Look at how cool this IKEA fabric looks in a pile of totes!  These are all branded with Looped Yarn Works labels, so they’ll be heading to Washington DC before long.

All of the things I sell are original designs; these totes are my latest creations for knitting projects, but obviously they can be used for all sorts of things.  The outer fabric is IKEA upholstery print, and the insides are a mish-mash of lightweight cotton prints.  There aren’t any raw edges, so I wouldn’t look askance if folks were to turn them inside-out.

we look ok inside out too

I don’t even remember when I made this little crochet hook roll for myself  Probably 10 years ago.  But those ties are such a problem!  They’re so awkward and don’t really work.

So I used some leftover upholstery leather and vintage buttons for the more recent incarnations.  So much better!

these work for double-pointed needles too

Thanks for stopping by!  If you don’t hear from me again soon, it’s because I’ve melted.
